Bill: Gender Reassignment Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Grand Nationalist Fraction
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4395
Description[?]:
Any individual should have the right to decide what he or she does with his or her body. Yet we feel that no funding of sex reassignment is needed. On the contrary, the State is giving the wrong message doing so, encouraging people to have such sex change performed, even if they are not completely convinced of their choice. Also, one individual that wishes to undergo a sex reassignment should be guided by a surgeon and a psychiatrist during the process prior to the operation. Without such guidance and counseling, no sex change operation should be performed. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy concerning sex reassignment surgery.
Old value:: The government funds sex reassignment surgery for people with low incomes.
Current: Sex reassignment surgery is legal but regulated.
Proposed: Sex reassignment surgery is legal but regulated.
