| 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 A more capable, agile and potent future force supported by an effective Defence organisation is essential to protect Kazulia’s security and prosperity over the coming decades. Through this Defence White Paper the Government will provide Defence with the funding necessary to develop a more potent and capable set of options to respond to emerging and unexpected challenges to Kazulia’s three Strategic Defence Interests. To ensure the Kazulian Armed Forces maintains the highest degree of combat effectiveness in the world, Government is making a significant long-term investment in Defence’s war fighting equipment and supporting systems, research and development, and the skills and training of our armed forces personnel. Major investments will be made in the future in the name of modernisation and enhancement of the potency, range and capabilities of our nation's armed forces. New invests will include a modernised generation of submarines, the continued procurement and development of surface vessels, the introduction of a technology based infantry combat suit, the procurement and modernisation of land systems and the integration of transnational defence systems. A renewed emphasis will be placed on the armed forces' intelligence capabilities. From electronic warfare to space capabilities the armed forces must maintain an edge over its enemies. A renewed design of the armed forces would herald these joint intelligence changes. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 Iɴᴛᴇʟʟɪɢᴇɴᴄᴇ, Sᴜʀᴠᴇɪʟʟᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴀɴᴅ Eʟᴇᴄᴛʀᴏɴɪᴄ Wᴀʀғᴀʀᴇ In-order to ensure that the nation maintain decision-making superiority and can effectively operate on a global scale with supranational organisations such as the Northern Council, it is important to possess situational awareness and through enhanced intelligence, surveillance and electronic warfare capabilities this can be achieved. Thus, the government will make significant investments into the procurement, development and modernisation of systems capable of achieving this goal. The government would move to modernise the Global Aerospace Monitoring System (GAMS), strengthen the Cyclops Agreement and move to modernise the nation's existing cybernetic capabilities through the launching of two more GAMS systems in the Northern Hemisphere and the introduction of a GAMS system in the Southern Hemisphere. A Kᴀᴢᴜʟɪᴀɴ Dᴇғᴇɴᴄᴇ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ Wʜɪᴛᴇ Oᴄᴇᴀɴ The Kingdom of Kazulia is positioned within a responsive distance to the White Ocean. Developments on the island of Arenheim and Kazulia's claim in the arctic has been naturally of great importance to the Kingdom of Kazulia. The Kazulian Armed Forces has an extensive history of operating in the arctic and cold-weather conditions and has been doubted the most effective cold-weather military in the world. Recently, there has been a rising storm developing in the White Ocean with the resurgence of various nations with claims to territory within the White Ocean. In cooperation with Arenheim and the Northern Council nations who operate within the White Ocean, efforts in the aforementioned territories are strengthened as follows:- - The expansion of the 1st Flotilla. The 1st Flotilla is responsible for guarding Kazulia's northern and southern flanks along the western and northern coast of the continent of Dovani. The Flotilla is responsible for arctic operations and limited operations in eastern Dovani. Its expansion would see the introduction of an Ingrid-class amphibious assault ship to the flotilla's ranks as a means of enhancing the flotilla's response time to various instances involving the White Ocean. - The installations of the Skjǫldr 1 missile defence system on the island of Arenheim. Currently Arenheim's principle defence against enemy aircraft comes in the form of Man-portable air-defense systems. The Skjǫldr 1 missile defence system has been among the nation's more reliable missile defence systems, having been tested during the Hulstro-Kazulian War and the Kazulian-Dankukin War, having an 87% successful hit rate. The installation of the Skjǫldr 1 missile defence system on the island of Arenheim would enhance the island's defence against enemy aircraft and potentially enemy missile systems. - The expansion of the 1st Kazulian-Hutorian Brigade. Formed with the intention of cooperating with the Commonwealth of Hutori (our nation's closest ally) in the arctic and the White Ocean, the 1st Kazulian-Hutorian Brigade has developed into an extremely capable cold-weather combat formation. The combined efforts of the Hutorian Armed Forces and the Kazulian Armed Forces has enabled the brigade to develop itself beyond the initial expectations of Hutorian and Kazulian commanders. The expansion of this Brigade to a Corps would allow for the formation's response to instances within the Arctic with a stronger force and would thus be more likely to sustain conflicts in the even the reinforcements from Kazulia or Hutori are not dispatched upon request. Tʜᴇ Kᴀᴢᴜʟɪᴀɴ Aᴘᴘʀᴏᴀᴄʜ ᴛᴏ Tʀᴀɴsɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ Dᴇғᴇɴᴄᴇ Transnational defence entails the ability for Kazulia to defend its interests internationally through cooperative and in some cases alternative means. Given Kazulia's involvement in the Northern Council, there has been increasingly calls for the nation to become involved in a series of international events in the absence of the world's other "great powers". As the Northern and Eastern Hemisphere's sole great power, Kazulia has maintained the perception of a heavy handed approach to most issues. However, in recent developments it has been decided that the government is to move away from this attitude as it has proven detrimental with respect to the relationships between Kazulia and its regional neighbours. For some time, Defence Command and the Federal Department of Defence has contemplated on orienting the armed forces towards humanitarianism and international assistance. Through the procurement of various systems, the armed forces is turning this idea into reality. As a means of expanding transnational defence and cooperation Kazulia must:- - Enhance its existing relationships, especially with nations such as Lourenne, Kalopia and Hulstria whom have benefited from Kazulian military aid for decades. For decades, the Kazulian Armed Forces had been engaged in training and equipping the armed forces of Lourenne, Kalopia and soon Hulstria. By enhancing these relationships beyond the conventional "Memorandum of Understanding on Defence and Security", the Federal Department of Defence in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs should aim to ratify concrete military cooperation agreements with the aforementioned nations. This in itself should not restrict cooperative with as it pertains to the Kazulian Armed Forces to the armies of Lourenne, Kalopia and Hulstria, but the Kazulian Armed Forces should open itself to being available to offering assistance to the national armed forces of other nations as a means of prompting cooperation. - Construct foreign military bases. Foreign military bases would allow for us to better protect our international interests. Through foreign military bases we will thus be able to respond to instances faster and at a much stronger capacity. |
