"Mr. Speaker, the recent events surrounding our political transition have shaken investor confidence in Talmoria - and nothing restores confidence in a nation's business and its economy is to cut taxes and return business' money to them. These taxes will stimulate growth in Talmoria and restore consumer and investor confidence in our nation."

"Oh, I see you there Ms. Davidson! Yes, I do. Right there, cowering under the protective bosom of the oligarchic classes that seek slavery for the working class of Talmoria. The people of Talmoria rejected your capitalist claptrap in the election and you have retreated into the arms of those who have bought you. In an outsized show of magnaminity we have accepted you into our coalition to rid this country of its imperialist masters and the bloated defense establishment, but do not think that the great magnaminity I have shown blinds me to who actually controls your party. A decrease in the tax on luxury goods! There is no other tax cut that demonstrats more how beholden you are to the ill-gotten wealth of Talmoria's oligarchy."

"Mr. Speaker, I'll only point out that this party ran on a platform of economic reform and did not deliver in the prior session. Talmorians want lower taxes and greater liberty, and when I am confident that when we deliver we will return to power."\

MessageMoniade Richland, Leader of the Black Bloc,

Mr. Speaker,

Had the Talmorians actually raised one voice in favor of lower taxes and greater liberty, perhaps then the so-named Progressive Republican Party would have fared better. But we are not here to raise the arguments of who won more support than whom, but rather to debate the principles of this legislation.

And it's fair to say that this legislation will not see the support of the Black Bloc. For all the rampant ridiculousness that pervades the largest party in the Majalisar, this is an area where they are mostly correct. We've suffered through a long-lasting war. We're working to build stability for the people of this country. And the last thing that they need right now is to see services- many of them vital- cut in order to hand some sort of gift to the aristocrats of noble breeding, many of whom made their fortunes through luck or inheritance or dare I say exploiting the resources of this country. This is the sort of legislation I would expect the monarchy to support and fawn over in that it enriches and rewards their closest supporters- not the people of this country. And that is why I, and the Black Bloc, is so firmly opposed to this legislation.
