MessageMr Speaker,

I can confirm quite categorically that my party is opposed to the constitutional changes proposed in this debate by the Communist Party.

The extending of the Grand Council to 300 to 400 achieves nothing in terms of democracy and will simply lead to extra costs and salaries to create new constituencies and elect new Grand Council members.

The six-year term of office adds stability to the running of the government and, as the Communist Party, has already pointed out they have the constitutional right to call for early elections/trigger a vote of no confidence if things are going wrong at any time.

Messageit's just a debate, you can submit your own suggestions for amendments. We propose to increase the number of seats just because there will be fewer voters per MP, and the deputy will be able to know better what he wants to represent the constituency he represents, in addition, we propose the establishment of a higher chamber and the Ministry of Information

MessageI am interested in your idea about a higher chamber - can you elaborate and explain how it would key into the present system and the King's Royal Veto, which currently acts as a safeguard against poor legislation?

Personally, I would like to see the number of proposals that can be introduced per year reduced as I believe too many can lead to a spamming of the system and not enough time spent in debating each bill.

MessageThe name of the upper house to be determined, it proposes indirect elections by local self-governments, it is to be a chamber representing regions. The king's veto should be able to be rejected but the majority of 2/3 lower chamber which will encourage a compromise between parties, and we propose the introduction of the Constitutional Tribunal. As for the current limit of proposals, I think it would be better to increase or maintain it at the current level.

MessageMr. Speaker,

What is the point of a veto if it can be 'rejected'? Historically Vanuku, during its republican apartheid era long before us, has had a higher chamber. It was a senseless system that bogged down politics, the Senators as they were called did not do a thing.

We reject this inefficient proposal.

MessageThe king can not hinder the implementation of the electoral program of the party that won the election, and what the upper house will be able to block badly written laws and represent the regions. In addition, I think that the republic should be restored, and I think the statement of "apartheid" for not being correct, because she was for the republic of racial segregation, a true apartheid, she was the era of the early kingdom, due to the legalization of slavery and racial segregation by your party. OOC: the veto can be rejected, eg in Poland by a 3/5 majority in the presence of half-positives. authorized.

MessageMr Speaker,

The gentleman from the communist party cannot expect compromise from the government side on constitutional matters if he won't compromise himself. I refer to the Succession Law Bill (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=569540).

Messageor general election of the head of state or possibly the Grand Council, or we have nothing to talk about. Politics is the art of avoiding compromises, dear Prefect.
