Bill: Cabinet Proposal of June 4394

Details

Submitted by[?]: Holy Ecumenical Patriarchate of Luthori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4395

Description[?]:

The Ecumenical Patriarch Himself has ordered me to propose this. Though I do not seek compromise when it comes to the word of GOD and the Prophets, it seems like His Holiness does.

He seems to believe that this is the only way we can break this gridlock we've found ourselves in. He gives this bill the blessings of the Church, of GOD and the Prophets, and of the People of our Holy Empire.

My word is one thing, the word of the Ecumenical Patriarch is another. I ask you to listen to his words very closely.

Blessings of the Prophets,
-Grand Vizier Tarion, Humble Servant of Ecumenical Patriarch Antonios XXVIII

MessageFaithful Friends,

The Ecumenical Patriarch, being the head of the most Holy Church, has, in his infinite holy wisdom, proposed a compromise between political parties and the cabinet. The Ecumenical Patriarch would like to grant the top three most represented political parties seats in government, while the other, smaller, parties are represented only in the vote. This is the will of GOD and the Prophets, and the will of the people of our most Holy Empire.

The Ecumenical Patriarch himself has given me these orders. He believes that compromise is necessary at this time. Though this compromise is against my political philosophy, I am bound to obey His Holiness, and I would ask you to do the same.

Blessings of the Prophets,
-Grand Vizier Tarion, Humble Servant of Ecumenical Patriarch Antonios XXVIII

MessageMr Speaker,

We can not and will not work with a party that advocates economic warfare against our people and has had done so for over 70 years. The HPP started as a coalition of conservatives and royalists disgusted with the economic program of the White Rose and the Hosian Democratic Union, which advocates for monopolization, deregulation in nearly all sectors of the economy, and has even in the past promoted dismantling our healthcare system. The Social Democrats although in our view misguided on the issues of religion and morality at least do not want our people on the streets hungry and support the monarchy.

MessageMr Speaker,

How little HPP knows about White Rose history. We have historically increased the budget for social spending including healthcare. education and the like, we have freed the healthcare system from burdensome regulation but we have also maintained public provided and well funded public healthcare system.

There is a difference between deregulation and dismantlement. We have never committed economic warfare, in fact we abolished VAT whilst the SDP & HPP have instigated a 3% tax on food and other essential goods. We will take no lecture from the parties opposite.
