Bill: Liberating our People through Economic Means (LPEM)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Jabhat Altahrir Almutahida
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 4395
Description[?]:
In Kafuristan, foreign investment is unregulated, and therefore foreigners can control us. Unrestrained foreign investment represents a threat to Kafuristan. If we become dependent on this form of welfare, foreign influences will yield too much power over our government and our people. If we let foreign investment pour into our country, Kafuristan will no longer be a sovereign nation of great importance; instead, we will be forced to cower down to a thinly veiled form of imperialism. Opportunities to develop this great nation should be given to our citizens. Our citizens, and by extension our corporations, should be building our roads, bridges, and ports, not foreign adversaries. This party does recognize that foreign investment allows for increased employment of our citizens in a number of sectors, however, it must be regulated to ensure we maintain our sovereignty. |
