Message | This is the History of the Old Party: Populist, center right, Laissez Faire, pro bussines party, willing to make any deal to govern. We will support whatever the voters want too. Formely: Business and Development Party. Party History: Started as an Alliance of formely small centre and right wing parties by former medical doctor, businessman and mayor of the capital town of Bailon, Dr Wewecho Pantafloja, along with doctor in law and alcoholic brewage businessman Alphonse Gabriel Wewecho , using a populist anti corruption platform while campaigning in opposition to the fragile centre left coalition of the Labour Republican Party(LRP),The United Party and the Kaminskiist Workers' Reform Front Headed at the time by President Andy Typhis . Pantafloja served as candidate 4 times, mudslinging his opponents, constantly in the news due to scandalizing declarations and buffoonish proposals to get into the spotlight, he eventually won the January 4292 election after a bad economic cycle, voter apathy, high inflation, a tax raise, mistrust on what was deemed a corrupt establishment after multiple high profile scandals, infighting inside the ruling coalition, and low export prices that had been weakening the Beluzian economy for 4 consecutive years. only to immediately call snap elections after seeing his poll ratings go up, winning again the April 4292 snap election, another snap election was called in April 4294, reportedly after Wewecho made a bet while drunk in a bar, which his party won under heavy accusations of ballot tampering. Seeing the opposition in turmoil another snap election was called, the party won the November 4294 snap election with heavy irregularities, during his tenure, government was chaotic, Dr Wewecho pushed the privatization of most of the state assets, which had been nationalized by earlier governments. Wewecho won the November 4300 election, and managed to merge head of state with head of government, by striking a deal with the opposition, reportedly involving bribes and protection from prosecution by acts of corruption commited earlier. Wewecho won the November 4303 snap election, mass protests ensured after accusations of fraud, and armed resistance groups caused strife in the Negunia region, the party barely maintained power in the October 4304 snap election, where vote buying was widespread, this time with Alphonse Gabriel Wewecho as candidate for President. Only to lose the 4309 election to John Fredrickson of the United Party, in a coalition with the Kaminskiist workers reform front. Despite massive vote buying by Wewecho’s party. After huge social pressure due to a declining standard of living, that dropped over 20 years during both tenures , massive protests, three national strikes and international allegations of electoral fraud on every election since the first snap election of April 4292, Alphonse lost the election. The party regained power again in November 4312, with former President Wewecho Pantafloja returning as President of Beluzia, after the government of the United Party had lost popular support due to not being able to fix the economy inherited from Wewecho fast enough, impopular massive nationalizations , the change of the national currency, protests, press that favoured or was owned by Pantafloja, and a massive goods shortage ,most market chains were reportedly owned by Pantafloja allies, Wewecho was also reportedly backed by the government of Likatonia at the time. Once back in power ,Dr Wewecho put his former opponents in jail and re introduced many controversial reforms that still affect Beluzian society to this day. since multiple scandals during government , including a personal whorehouse in the Presidential Palace, bribery, embezzlement of state funds, nepotism, electoral fraud, political persecution, ordering repression of student demonstrations, massive cutting of services, tax evasion, televised sexual assault to an opposition parliamentarian, reportedly diverting 90% of foreign aid sent to Beluzia into his personal account, and conflict of interest during the privatization of state assets Amongst others, Dr Wewecho purchased majority stock in the National Bank of Beluzia, the Electric Company of Beluzia, Beluzian TV, 2100 different churches , 9876 brothels, which flourished under his tenure due to high unemployement, having both banned contraception and abortion and legalized prostitution at one point to avoid the population falling too much due to Beluzians emigrating to neighboring countries, it was stated that by the end of his tenure 30% of Beluzian women worked in the industry, the Wewecho Pantafloja Hospital, formely known as the Iker Ado Hospital, 2340 clinics , 7004 schools ,the Wewecho Pantafloja University, formely known as the National University of Beluzia , Beluzian Radio Stations, and Beluzian Building company. an international investigation found that he alone owned 45% of the Beluzian economy. Having its leader sentenced ,jailed and pardoned several several times, and with Beluzians standards of living falling faster than in any other country ,most of the trend due to hunger, overworking, alcoholism and STDs ,the party fell in popularity, and its leadership either retired or were successfully prosecuted and jailed for diverse crimes. Dr Wewecho particularly became a wealthy expat in Likatonia, where he made headlines for marrying a Likatonian model 30 years younger than him, having her divorce him, and then immediately marrying an adult film actress 40 years younger than him, all while living a luxury lifestyle, while there was political and social convulsion back in Beluzia. The party is currently headed by former radio host from Beluzian TV, and prominent prosperity gospel Televangelist and businessman Wewecho Pantafloja Junior, who is one of the many offspring of the late President, reportedly with a Malivian-Indralan cabaret dancer , the Late President is believed to have fathered hundreds of illegitimate children during his presidency with multiple women, as he was known to be particularly lascivious , hiring only secretaries and interns on the basis that they would welcome his advances, and he was known to dislike contraception, claiming it was not manly to use it, the late Wewecho Pantafloja reportedly died from a heart attack at age 76 while extradition proceedings were being held in Likatonia to try him for corruption during his tenure as Beluzian head of government and state , even through his corpse was never found, and his multiple bank accounts were all emptied before his disappearance, many experts believe he simply fled with his money to some other country using a false identity. Pantafloja Jr won the February 4396 election, but after a tumultous first year the opposition managed to force new elections and he left the country, endorsing a smaller party for the March 4397 election, which resulted in the return of the Kaminskiists to power. |
