Message | Mr. Speaker, For years the market forces have made a mess of our railways. Our citizens complain about trains that show up too late, leave too soon or never appear at all. For the LLP it is clear that the market has failed! The LLP agrees with the proposed bill and wishes to end the market grip on our rail networks. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The Liberal Party has yet to receive any complaints from citizens about the Market-led reinvigoration of our railroads. The trains have never been on time this much and never have the revenues for shareholders been quite so good. The Liberal Party will not support this bill and will instead urge anyone discontent with the direction the railroads are currently taking to invest in shares of the railroad companies to let their own voices be heard in running them. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I'd call the lack of complaints about the market-led railways, quoting the LP, ignorance. Who really pays attention sees that the population of Lodamun complains all day on social networks and on the internet about delays and distinctions of the TOC in this country. Message | Mr. Speaker, Must I remind the right honorable gentleman of the Ecosocialist Party that we are not, in fact, currently letting the market reign freely on our railway services? Currently, the government already operates a national Train Operating Company. The simple reason for the complaints about our railroads is too much government interference, not too little. The Liberal Party is a pragmatic party and sees the potential dangers in letting the market run all the railroads, but the market-run railroads at the edges of our nation operate with efficiency, speed and precision. Nationalizing those railroads as well would prove a terrible mistake that will lead to more complaints, not fewer. Chloe Warren, Spokesperson Infrastructure and Transport, Liberal Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, These are unprovable claims. The current state of the railways is anyhow very bad, and more market force is not going to help that - there are going to be even more train companies to deal with, which is only going to make it harsh for train companies to make a correct timetable. Therefore, we propose one train company, lead by the government, so that we can assure cheap tickets and no more delays. Donovan Ware Spokesperson Infrastructure and Transport, Ecosocialist Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I concur with the right honorable gentleman of the Ecosocialist Party that the state of our railways is in no way, shape or form ideal. I do clearly not agree with him what reasons are behind this. The claims of the Liberal Party can be proven simply by following a beginners course in economics however. We are open to hosting one for the right honorable gentleman if he wishes to follow it. Having said that, we think it clear we are not going to agree on this specific bill. Message | Mr. Speaker, Our current system isn't completely private; as Mrs Warren has said, there is a national TOC that the people can choose if the private ones aren't working out. If we leave it all up to a single government company without any alternatives, these inefficiencies could get worse especially with our current Infrastructure and Transport budget. John Pacard, Lodamun Minister of Infrastructure and Transport |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Our country does not have five parallel railroads everywhere. Within public transport you are sentenced to use the transport company that is active in your area. With the inclusion of private companies this obligates some of our citizens to use private TOC's. There is only the illusion of choice. Furthermore with our current system where we subsidize certain travellers, with another bill on the floor making the subsidy universal, is unnecessarily expensive if we deal with private companies, who need to make a profit, where a TOC only needs to break even. Kind regards, Betty Bordeaux, Transport Spokesperson, PSP |
