MessageMr. Speaker,

While we agree with Article 2, 3 and 5, the other articles are so outrageous that we cannot in good conscious support this bill

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Ecosocialist Party is against any extension of the military. Therefore, we will vote against this whacky bill.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Animal Liberation Front sees that our cultural values are under threat. Both within our nation as abroad the worship of the spirit is under pressure. We strongly believe that an active and capable military is needed to protect our values and restore glory to our nation in worship of the mother Gaia. Therefore the ALF will vote in favor of this bill.

May the spirits of life guide you on your vote.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Liberal Party sees this bill for what it really is: a massive government power grab. We cannot in good or any other conscience support this bill.

FromAnimal Liberation Front
ToDebating the Military Act
MessageMr. Speaker,

The Animal Liberation Front wonders why a party such as the Liberal Party which has 'liberty' at the core of her values, fails to see the threats that are facing us regarding this very same liberty. A Strong army will keep our nation safe and our spirits free.

May the spirits of life guide you on your vote.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Our party will vote against this proposal in its current state. Though some of these articles could be negotiable, we are against the change on the bio/chem weapons, land mine, and national service policies.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The EP would like to propose to the LLP to submit articles 2, 3 and 5 as one proposal, as a compromise. We could certainly get an agreement at those points.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Considering that there seems to be support for certain proposals, we want to seek a pragmatic stance. The LLP is willing to remove articles 1, 2 and 6. The LLP urges the other parties to not forget the importance of a strong military and defensive capabilites.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The EP supports this move of the LLP, but wants to make clear that article 6 is for the EP out of discussion - we will never vote for a law with that proposal.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Contrary to the different other parties, the Liberal Party will not support any of these articles, with the exception of articles two and five. The Liberal Party does not believe the government to be suited for any service private industry could accomplish either just as well or better. Therefore, the Liberal Party does not see the benefits of nationalizing all defense industries.

MessageMr. Speaker,

hearing these arguments, we might say we found our allies in Presidium. We could support this proposal, which we believe is a very good one as result of a lot of thinking and brainstorming. It will give our military a bit more breathing air, without having to fear excessive power being given to that same military.
Eventhough we agree on this bill, we would like to ask LLP to remove the proposition concerning the defence industries. We have noticed in the past that working with privatized firms saves us a lot of money in research and does not lead to an inferior product.
My fraction would like to applaud LLP for handing in this bill.

MessageMr. Speaker,

As this bill has been moved to the floor now, we of the Liberal Party were mildly optimistic about the scrapping of the most outrageous of the proposed policies. However, we still do not agree with nationalizing the defence industries. It would overstretch our budget and limit private initiatives even further. We will not support this bill, even in its amended form.

MessageMr. Speaker,

In front of you, Mr. Speaker, lays a comprehensive considering our military. During the debat we recieved much feedback from other parties. The LLP has changed the bill removing several articles that given the current political reality do not recieve enough support. We however still think that the current proposals are necessery for the future our military and thus our country. The LLP also urges the LNC and the ALF, supporters of the much of the original draft of the bill to support it in it's current form. To the LNC who was critical about the nationalization of the defense industry, our party believes that influence of the market could cause that technology used by our military could fall in the hands of our enemies. For protection of our military and thus our country we see it necessery to nationalise the defense industry.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Animal Liberation Front is disappointed regarding the made changes. The current proposal does not cover the means necessary facing the crisis that this world is currently in. We agree with the LNC that with this sudden change the ALF can no longer support this bill and will abstain from voting in protest.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Though the articles we were most against were removed, we're unsure about nationalizing of all defense industries. We're going to vote against this, though if a bill was set forth later on with just the two other articles, we would support that.
