Voting deadline: July 2201
Description[?]:
WHEREAS the broadcast media are business entitities like any other, AND it has been amply demonstrated that business entities function most effeciently when the invisible hand of the marketplace, not the visible and intrusive hand of government guide their decisions, FURTHERMORE the existance of the government supported media outlets gives an unfair advantage to those viewpoints supported by the government THEREFORE we wish to sell these outlets to private enterprises and level the playing field in the arena of the free exchange of ideas. |

Message | I've seen in other nations such forms of media that exist and they are NOT all just propoganda centres for the local governments. They are successful alternatives. Plus, by having such channels, people will always know that there is a channel that they can turned to for consistancy in the material provided. JUst because they are funded by the government doesn't mean a thing, why, just last week, there was an outrageous report on one of the children of our cabinet minister, Dawn Shea. But, there was no bruhahah about it. In fact, no one else said a thing about it. |

Message | We fail to see how a voice solely reliant on private companies will provide balanced coverage of those same companies. |

Message | If there were only one private company providing the media, (like there is only one governmnet) we would agree totally. However, with many competing media outlets, each of which has many advertisers providing revenue, any viewpoint has an equally good chance of being represented. |
