Message | Senators, We fail to see how this would in any way guarantee stability. Centralizing executive power in the hands of a single individual is a recipe for tyranny, not stability. Decimus Nasennius Valens Senator |

Message | Senators, The dangers of the current political climate are before your very eyes. The recent elections only yield grave results; the rise of dangerous ideologies that give no value to the sanctity of human life and put state before humanity and that can only be stopped by parties who do believe in the sanctity of life and a Republic working together to make laws which make the obtaining of power by a viscous majority impossible. Message | Senators, Father Ambrose makes no sense. If he finds various ideologies objectionable, then would he not also object to the fact that the Head of State belongs to a pro-choice and secular political party, as is currently the case? How would granting said head of state the sole power to determine the governing coalition prevent a "vicious majority" in any way? Decimus Nasennius Valens Senator |

Message | Selucia has one of the most democratic systems of Terra: the nation gives its citizens the capacity to directly choice one of its representatives, the Consul, while electing parties that best fits with their own beliefs to appoint the other Executive head, the Caesar, both with equal powers and rights and with capacity of vetoing. Message | If you should be implying, Father Ambrose, that the Rexist Party is some sort of statist party, then you should be wrong. The Rexist Party believes strongly in the unalienable rights of the people. The duty of the state is to serve the people. Government can only exist with the consent of the people, and must be dedicated to the preservation of the people's rights. Augustus Scipio Longidium Senator |

Message | Senators and Senator Longidium In particular, If your party believes in the unalienable rights of the people the question becomes; which people? Only those who fit your description of what a Selucia should be? Your party stands for "Nationalism and Militarism" what then would lead these "-isms" into the current day? Is it not the State? Perhaps I and my brothers and sisters of my party have misread your party platform. But I ask them and the members of this body; if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck-- is it a duck? Fr. Ambrose |

Message | Father Ambrose, It is true that the government should lead these "isms" into the current day. Yet, it is only through the people's consent that it should do so. As the previous elections have proven, the people want my Party. The Rexist Party would not have won its seats if it had not had the requisite votes. The truth is that the people WANT us, but they DO NOT want you. Your theocratic policies represent a great threat to the Republic and the freedoms of the people. You wish to force your religion on others, which denies them there freedom of religion. Freedom of religion is one of the many unalienable rights of the people. With all due respect, Father, I don't think you understand unalienable rights. You call the Rexist Party statist, when, in reality, it is you who is statist. You advocate a theocracy. The people do not want a theocracy. End of story, Father. Augustus Scipio Longidium Senator |

Message | Senator Longidium, If you truly think that the people do not want our policies and seek to have us eradicated call another election! Your party cannot form a stable coalition to serve the people yet you have the audacity to claim that the people do not want my Party? This is a shameful display from the largest party who cannot serve the needs of its constituents nor the needs of the people of Selucia. So I challenge you here and now! Prove that your party is truly the party that the people want by calling for another election. If you succeed in your goal of once again becoming the largest party then we will soften our time and recognize you as a functioning party. If not you will truly see what me and my party can do. If you are correct that you claim to be the champions of the people prove yourself once more! What do you have to lose. Truthfully I doubt you have the nerve to do it and will cling to power in the only way that you can despite you your party not being able to function. I shall pray for your soul Senator. Fr. Ambrose |
