Bill: Border Security

Details

Submitted by[?]: Beluzian Defense and Federalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2198

Description[?]:

A nation like ours, with long borders with our neighbors, there is a need for security. Therefore we propose stricter security checks. We are not restricting access to our country, just making sure those that get in are not here to work against our nation. Law abiding travelers have nothing to fear by this law, the only one that stands to lose are terrorists

MessageI really detest the "If you've done nothing wrong, then you shouldn't worry about this restriction" arguement. I feel that innocents shouldn't be forced to prove themselves.

MessageI feel that we need more than minimal security checks but we don't need as the bill suggests overly strict ones which cause a decline in trade and tourists amongst other things.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "The Revolution needs to progress. We as humans need to evolve into higher beings through better moral virtues. And we can achieve that if we clean ourselves from the immoral. Those who go against the Revolution, go against human progress and must be freed in the most humane way possible. That is why we introduced the guillotine." - Maximus Robertson, former Davostani revolutionary
