Message | Mr. Speaker, Currently only altruistic surrogacy is allowed, but payment of women for their pregnancy services is not. This bill would change that. Given that demand for surrogacy is low and supply of surrogates is also low, we expect nothing to change - only that young women who give the gift of healthy children to deserving families be compensated for their time and effort.
