Bill: Margaret Thatcher Prisoner Education Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Segue Democratic Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2199

Description[?]:

On entering Downing Street, the Iron Lady declared 'Where there is darkness, let us spread light!' We argue that there are few darker places than Vanuku prisons, and fewer darker situations than being unable to understand and function in society through lack of education. The SDA believes that by educating our prisoners, we can reduce their re-offending rates, and allow them to take more productive positions in society upon release.

MessageCriminals are criminals, let them rot in jail and don't waste good tax payer's money trying to rehabilitate them. They can't be rehabilitated.

Messagenot everyone is in prison through fault of there own, and many feel remorse which is a good first step. the LDP believes that money could be spent elsewheres however the people that are in prisons were also taxpayers and are entitled to have someof there money spent for them

Random fact: Once approved, players should copy Cultural Protocols into a bill in the debate section of their nation page, under the title of "OOC: Cultural Protocols". This bill should include links to the passed Cultural Protocol bill and the Moderation approval.
