Message | As stated on Article 7 there shall be no mandatory military or civilian national service. As such, what Article 11 would do is provide women the choice to go into battle if they want to. However, in practice that most certainly won't happen as we are a neutral country which has never been involved in a war in its history. So we ask you to please reconsider your position on this bill and vote yes on it. Sending women and men to war depends on the leadership of the country and we don't plan to do it anytime soon. You won't be complicit in sending women into battle just because you voted for this bill. You'll be complicit in sending women into battle if you vote for our country involving itself in a war. Message | The article 5 it's dangerous. Other countries use land mines. Land mines are for protection. we ask Partido Socialista do Povo to change the law. |

Message | Partido SocioLiberal Democrata, we hear your concerns and will change that article when the election happens and this bill returns to the debate phase. Would you be behind, however, restricting the use of land mines to guarantee they are used just when they are needed? Sofia Henriques, Spokeswoman of Partido Socialista do Povo |

Message | "Land mines are not used for protection, theykill and maim individuals during battle and are a long term risk to the civilian population for decades afterwards, so they should be banned completely. The exemptions granted after the changes made to this bill can only be a first step. However, we cannot vote for this bill as long as it removes the special protection of women in the military. There are other provisions we are uneasy about, such as the abolition of National Service, though we strongly support the proposals about race and religion, nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and about paramilitaries. We therefore ask the Partido Socialista do Povo to remove the article about women in the military, otherwise we have no choice but to vote against this bill." Fernando Funar, Minister of Defence |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
