Mr. Speaker, The REP has always been a strong supporter of subsidiarity, a princple that allows decisions to be made at the closest possible level to the ordinary citizens of this great Commonwealth. Hence, we think that every issue needs a different decision-making scale: some need national cooperation and thus be under the jurisdiction of the central government. Other are issues that can be better addressed on the level of local governments. |
