Message | Bonaparte Desrosiers, Floor Leader of the Congress of the Left: Mr. Speaker, In looking through the legislative Code of Talmoria, there were some issues that I think we can make changes that most everyone will agree to. Hunting and fishing- popular recreational activities- are banned. People can own wild animals without restriction, including those that are incredibly dangerous, while domesticated cats and dogs require national registration. None of these issues- taken separately or together- make sense, and so we want to put forward this legislation as common sense. Unrestricted hunting would be just as bad as a full ban: there are endangered species that require protection, but at the same time as a tool for providing food or assisting in population control, hunting and fishing can be useful and should be protected. Just as we would encourage pet ownership, but not if it means the most vicious animals are ale to kept with no restriction- and indeed even less regulation than a harmless hamster or ferret. Hopefully we can all stand for these sensible regulations. |
