Bill: Congressional Speaker Resolution (Oct 4404) - Liberty
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberty Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 4405
Description[?]:
As present the election of a speaker is written n RP Law (attached) however it has not been enforced by Congress or successive governments for a while now. Liberty would like to know if Congress feels we should elect a Speaker for this and future governments. Liberty's own view is this is a very important position and perhaps with amendmenst to existing legislation could be made to work properly. Message | I regret the fact that we did not call for a Speakership election after Dr Florea, who was the incumbent Speaker, became President. The Speakership election records were deleted, and thus I have to start over all over again. We are deeply sorry that the Speakership has been left vacant for so long |

Message | Don't worry KW. Nobody pushed for it. We can fix that now. .Perhaps as it is already law and there is broad consensus for it anyway we can go directly to a speakers election. I shall set it up. Please vote for this bill if you support it for the record books. |

Message | I will try to walkthrough the whole Speakership election process with you, if our party can still remember the specifics, and we will try to find any Speakership election records that we might have kept |

Message | Ok. Thanks for that. We have put together something based on the RP laws. Let me know if that is what happens. We can amend if necessary. |
