Message | Once again, communism shows it cares more for the environment than for the "people" it allegedly fights for. |

Message | In a way, this does help the people, because eventually the problem will be everyones. Then everybody will sit there with 20/20 hindsight saying we should have done more. We cant just sit here and hope the environment will look after itself, unforrtunatly life isnt like that. We must take the iniative and do something before its too late. Eventually oil etc. will run out, and through compulsory recycling we can prolong the life of our current fossil fuels so we can develope further fuels. It seems that Lib Dems and Libertarian parties dont care about the population because, how I see it, you are just saying "Its not our problem, let later generations look after it". |

Message | There's no proof that not recycling will cause an apocalypse. So don't be so melodramatic. Environmentalists have this deluded mindset that says, "If we don't overprotect or force people to protect the environment, then the world will end!!" which is a complete fallacy. How does mandatory recylcing help anything other than force people into something? Forcing people to do something trivial like recycling is anti-freedom. |

Message | I'm not saying that it will cause an apocalypse. All I'm saying that by recycling, the life of our current fossil feuls will be extended. Am I wrong? Its only anti freedom because you take away the option of burying the rubbish. Which is better for everyone. Burying the waste and pretending it doesnt exist, or recycling? |

Message | But there's no need to FORCE people to do it. Why should they be FORCED? |
Date | 00:36:10, June 09, 2005 CET | From | Deadly Buzz Party | To | Debating the Environment Act |
Message | Because in the long run its better for everyone. Its not as if we round up and shoot everyone who doesnt recycle. Really I think the best way is to have a pay by weight or a tag service for ordinary rubbish to go to the dump and a free recycling service as incentive to recycle rather than to "force" them to. |
