These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:

Message | Addictive substances have a detrimental effect in Gaduridos due to the fact that it weakens one's ability to perform and function at their highest capacity. If we ban the advertisement of these substances, less and less people will be caught in the trap of addiction, hopefully leading to their use being made illegal once and for all in the near future. This is an amazing step towards a brighter future. We will support. |
Date | 18:54:42, June 13, 2018 CET | From | Progressive Conservative Party | To | Debating the Cabinet O'Hara I: Addiction Prevention Act |
Message | What substances does the government anticipate that they will be classifying as "addictive and harmful"? |
Date | 21:52:52, June 13, 2018 CET | From | Gaduridos Communist Party | To | Debating the Cabinet O'Hara I: Addiction Prevention Act |
Message | We agree with this bill. We will also be looking into what addictive and harmful substances are legal, because that just seems a bit nonsensical. |
Date | 01:03:42, June 14, 2018 CET | From | Go Gaduridos! [PAG] | To | Debating the Cabinet O'Hara I: Addiction Prevention Act |
Message | To the PCP: The list of substances for which this new law would apply to, would be compiled by the Agency for Food and Beaverage Regulation (AFBR) and will feature products such as tobacco, liquor and recreational marijuana. |

Message | Our concern is that this empowers the Agency for Food and Beverage Regulation to engage in the extensive restriction of free commercial speech. What is to stop them from banning advertisements for coffee, soda, or other products that contain caffeine (an addictive and arguably harmful drug)? We worry that giving a government agency such power over advertising content could lead to an abuse of free speech rights. |
Date | 13:32:29, June 19, 2018 CET | From | Go Gaduridos! [PAG] | To | Debating the Cabinet O'Hara I: Addiction Prevention Act |
Message | To the PCP, the list of products of which advertising will be banned will not include less addictive and/or harmful substances like caffeine or sugar. This bill will ban advertising for products like alcohol, tobacco and recreational drugs and certainly not coffee, ice tea or cheeseburgers. |
