Bill: Mayor Council Reform Act - 4408

Details

Submitted by[?]: Trzykrnadrkjogadsrlji Bltmojad

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4408

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

Direct democracy is led by populism, emotion and decisions 'on the moment'. Campaigns are won by shouting and hot issues. The GNP believes that it is better if the elected municipal councils decide who becomes the next mayor, much like how the Prefect of the Grand Council is chosen: from amongst his peers.

The members of the municipal councils are elected by the local population, let them sit together, as elected representatives, and decide who can best lead their nation.

Jeztri Mubarak
Member of the Grand Council

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.
