| The Presidency approved this program by the Minister of Finance and proposes it to the Parliament: The Government is aimed to use 4.500.000.000 LIS from the budgetary surplus to: - increase for the budget of the Infrastructure and Transport for new works to update in the next years the main transport infrastructure of the country. This will mean a lot of work for many companies and then an improvement in the connections of the major cities. - increase for the budget of the Trade and Industry to persue an enhancement of the public services. - increase for the budget of the Finance to organize a program of tax relief and micro investments for little and medium start up. - increase for the budget of Turism and Food & Agriculture in the form of subsides for the little landowners and to improve our turistic sector (through tax relief). - increase for the budget of the Health and Social Services to increase the quality of the national welfare. The parties forming the Government and that gave to it their external support agreed on the general plan proposed during the consultation phase, for this reason we hope this proposal will satisfy all of them. Obviously we are open to debate it. Thank you" |
