Bill: UMR-01: Religious Freedom Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Union für eine Meritokratische Republik

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4410

Description[?]:

Recognised religions, which have proven to the government that they are well-meaning and truly devoted to a peaceful religious way, should not be taxed as the usage of their money is going to a non-for-profit service which is focused on providing a meaningful community to people of different faiths.

Teacher-led prayers should not be mandatory, but it is important for children to appreciate our long-standing Hosian culture and traditions, and we should want to see young people better understanding that tradition.

Internal Affairs & Religious Affairs Spokesperson for the UMR

MessageThe AAF believes school prayers are completely unnecessary in a country where our schools are open for all religions. Encouraging prayers can result in children from other beliefs not fitting in with their Dorvosh classmates. We vote NO.

MessageThis bill doesn't mandate school prayers, and it won't mean anyone will be left out. Schools are capable of developing policies themselves that include everyone.
