Message | What we are witnessing nowadays is utter madness and disgrace, this oligarchy needs to be stopped as soon as possible. This isn't the Republic we wish to live in, this is an actual tyranny. The only way to stop this is that our citizenry recognises the danger into re-electing any official from the União Conservadora Nacional do Tukarali, and instead choose to vote for a democratic coalition. This is why today we, the Partido Progressista Unitário officially urge the União Democrática Tukarese and the Frente Patriótica de Esquerda to join us into a new national democratic coalition to stop the madness of a party that wishes nothing but enslavement for its citizens. This coalition is the only possible way to escape doom. Long live Tukarali, and long live the Republic! - Lorenzo Silva, PPU Federal Secretary - Isabel Oliveira, PPU spokesperson |

Message | "Once more, the so-called União Conservadora Nacional do Tukarali is using their accidental majority to introduce its reprehensible, authoritarian, anti-democratic policies. They have done so before, and the damage they have done to the nation has been barely repaired since. The União Democrática Tukarese prevails on all other parties to push the Fascists out of office at the earliest opportunity. The other parties do have their policy difference, as they should have in a pluralistic democracy, but they should stand united against the Fascist threat." Edu Alvares, leader of the UDT parliamentary party |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
