MessageMr Speaker,

In the early to mid 4300s, Hutori did not have a corporate tax. At that time our economy was one of the strongest on Terra thanks to all of the companies who chose to do business in Hutori because of the lack of corporate tax. When successive socialist governments implemented, and further raised the corporation tax, our economy plummeted and Hutori became a global laughing stock. Over the last 30 years, Conservatives in this country have worked to lower the corporate tax, and now it is time we eliminated it once and for all. It is time to tell companies that Hutori is once again open for business and we want them to come. Now, I know members opposite may be worried about what cuts we will have to make in order to do this. I say to that, we will not be making any cuts. Hutori has had a surplus for decades now that exceeds 30 billion Lira. We have nearly paid off the debt that the socialists brought upon us, and even after eliminating the corporation tax, Hutori will keep a surplus of approximately 13.4 billion Lira. We can afford this, and it is time to reward those businesses who have stayed loyal to this country, while also attracting new ones.

I hope all members of this house can support this long awaited elimination of corporate tax in Hutori.

MessageMr Speaker,

The idea that corporations will not pay a centine of tax is ridiculous! The government's reasoning is even more absurd! There hasn't been a socialist government in at least 3 decades! We cannot stand by and watch this happen. While it is clear that the government has the votes to pass this ludicrous bill, the New Liberals will vote against it.

The people of Hutori will soon see how much of a moderating influence the New Liberals were when we were in government. I fear that realization may come too late.

MessageMr Speaker,

Is the honorable member seriously suggesting that the economic crisis that Hutori faced in the mid to late 4300s was not caused by extreme socialist policies which included the implementation of a corporate tax? Before it was implemented, our economy was one of the strongest on Terra. Businesses left and went took their jobs with them. In the last few decades where we have seen successive governments that have practised fiscal conservatism, our economy has started to recover. By eliminating this tax, we will attract many businesses back to Hutori, and they will create many jobs. This means more people working to provide for themselves and their families rather than relying on government assistance to put food on the table.

As for the member opposite's suggestion that our government was better while they were a part of it, I would expect him to believe that. But we are doing just fine without the New Liberals, and had his party actually shown up to this house and done their jobs, they could have voted in favour of our cabinet proposal which included them.
