Message | Mr. Speaker, I rise to ask this house to take preventative measures against mass shootings by supporting the AWOC ("Awoke") Act. The AWOC act would make it a crime to carry concealed assault weapons. Forcing would-be shooters to carry weapons in the open would make it easier for law enforcement to find these evil doers. We hope that our colleagues in the government will support this common sense gun restriction. Rebecca Doyle MP for Prosperity Cove Deputy Leader & Chief Party Whip for the New Liberals |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Hutori hasn't seen a school shooting in decades if not longer, our rigorous background checks and mental health checks ensure this. Further hampering the freedoms of the Hutorian people without any tangible benefit seems a bit ridiculous. Timothy McLaughlin Federalist Justice Critic |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We made no mention of school shootings. That the Federalist critic jumped to that conclusion almost immediately suggests the need for this bill is great. We hope our colleagues across the aisle will consider voting against their coalition partners to keep all Hutorians safe. Message | Mr. Speaker, Firstly the NLP uses a non sequitur, we say "There are no school shootings" and the NLP says "Ah there must be a need for this bill!". How on earth does that follow? Secondly, we merely pointed out the most common type of attack perpetrated hasn't been a problem in Hutori. If the most common type of mass shooting hasn't taken place in decades it obviously follows that neither have any of the others. It is simple logic with no assumptions made.
