Message | Mr. Speaker, No one, not even the state, has the right to murder a person. This bill puts lethal weapons in the hands of the police - an agent of the state. This bill can only lead to more police-related deaths and killings. We will not stand for it! Rebecca Doyle MP for Prosperity Cove Parliamentary Leader of the New Liberals |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We would like to ask, does the NLP specialize in fear-mongering? We agree that no one has the right to murder a person yet the hypocritical NLP affirms the right of a mother to murder her unborn child. The logical inconsistency, the blind obedience of the NLP to their USPH masters is laughable. We simple want to put the tools required for officers to defend the public and themselves in the hands of the those very same officers. Besides, the data is clear when Officers are armed murder rates drop significantly, as do other forms of violent crime. Does the NLP support law breakers?
