MessageMr. Speaker

Is there even a point of asking the USPH why they are trying to pass this Amendment and wasting what little of any good will they had with the governing coalition when they knew this would never pass when over 60% of this Parliament are in favour of the continuation of the Monarchy?

MessageMr. Speaker,

Is the USPH being dogmatic, brutish, and illogical again? What a surprise, another corrosive attempt to dismantle the very institutions that provide so much for them and the rest of the Hutorian people.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This proposal is divisive and injurious to political stability. While we support a total republic, it is unwise to ignore the demands of a large portion of society when they currently tolerate a de-facto popularly elected national representative. Our monarchy has proven itself to be benevolent and harmonious in respecting royalists and republicans alike — we Scientians are republicans ourselves and have been very impressed with the pragmatism of the royal family.

- Ambassador Norbert Lowell of the Scientian Enclave
