Bill: Accommodation of all Yeudis Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kadima Beiteynu
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4416
Description[?]:
Currently, upon volunteering in peacetime, or in the event of a wartime draft, all soldiers serve together in gender-mixed units. This is fine for the majority of Yeudis who are reform, conservative, secular, or modern orthodox. However, this arrangement does not work for khassidic or haredi Yeuds. This bill will go-ahead the creation of some special gender-segregated units for our khassidic and haredi men and women in uniform. This bill will maintain the general policy of men and women serving side-by-side in gender-mixed units. But, upon request, anyone can join a gender-segregated unit; allowing for accommodation of those who object to the primary policy. |
