Description[?]:
These proposals are three fold. - Firstly to allow private companies to develop in Telamon focuses on supporting defense industries. - Secondly to take advantage of Telamons ship building expertise to invest in a new shipbuilding programme for warships. This initiates a programme to sell off our old surface vessels and submarines (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=573974 we have 4 Destroyers, 12 Frigates and 6 submarines) and build a Telamese designed series of replacements (on a one for one basis, no sell of old equipment until a new vessel has come into service). This is to be funded from the money made available for equipment in the defence budget. The schedule for this redevelopment is as follows; 5 years research and development and to accrue savings from ending research into Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons (to 4420) A new destroyer every five years - (4 to be delivered by 4440) A two new frigates every four years - (12 to be delivered by 4444) A new submarine every three years - (6 to be delivered by 4438) As a strong navy is key to maintaining freedom of movement through the Mad Dog Ocean and for protecting our fishing and whaling fleets and to contribute towards NoCTO security. Therefore the government prioritizes reequipping the navy over reequipping the Air Force. - Thirdly to allow weapons to be exported more freely to allies in order to further develop our defense industries. |
