Bill: Vitsmunalegir Mótmælendur (Conscientious Objectors)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lýðveldisflokkurinn (Republican Party)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4419

Description[?]:

This Bill is a tidying up exercise. Currently we do not have conscription therefore there is no reason to object to military service. However, we propose amending the law to ensure that if conscription were introduced, citizens could opt out.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.

Random quote: "If we were to wake up some morning and find that everyone was the same race, creed and color, we would find some other causes for prejudice by noon." - George Aiken
