Description[?]:
Pescennian Law on Paramilitaries Senators, The Republican Party has warned time and time again about the mischiefs of faction, the un-republican consequences that stem from citizens abandoning the common good in favor of their own selfish ambitions and inclinations, or worse, their commitment to their narrow group interests instead of the public interest. We have proposed several times the elimination of factionalism and the destructive and Republic-killing practice of factional paramilitaries. Paramilitary members have a dual allegiance, both to the Republic as citizens and to their own faction as members of a party. And in that, the politics of the common good has been replaced by a politics of interest, of short-sighted ideological commitments and conflict instead of solidarity. There is no need for us to once again warn against the dangers of faction. Instead we again propose the dismantling of all paramilitary forces in the Republic, whether associated with a political party or not. Those that refuse to disarm shall be branded traitors to the Republic and potentially face the firing squad. Alexandra Pescennia Scato Senatrix |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
