Bill: NDU - 25: Questions to the Co-Ministers of Finance (RP)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nationale Demokratische Union (NDU)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4423

Description[?]:

Honourable Ministers and Members of the Reichstag,

The HDV has been in government for some years now and, during that time, the national budget has received very little attention from the relevant ministers. We recognise, and commend, that Ministry of Finance's efforts to stimulate our nation's economy following prolonged periods of political instability and uncertainty. However, the government is currently running a deficit of over 18 billion Crowns. This is in spite of our people paying some of the highest rates of tax on essential goods in the world (12%). We therefore ask the Ministers whether there will be a comprehensive review of the National Budget in the near future?

As can be seen in this bill and subsequent bills, the NDU has put forward its own financial plan. We hope that the government are willing to listen to Honourable Members from across the political spectrum on this issue.

Thomas Eckstein,
Spokesperson for Finance and Economic Affairs
