Message | Mr. Speaker, let's stop debating this. The republicans have made clear where they stand, this is just getting repetitive Lucius Shield PSP Spokesperson on Defense |
Date | 21:49:50, July 15, 2018 CET | From | Lodamun Labour Party | To | Debating the Total Militarism Act |
Message | Mr. Speaker, The LLP does not understand why this bill, nearly the same as the recently rejected military bill by the RP, is introduced. The Republicans know the stance of every party in the Presidium considering this articles. We haven't had elections, there is no change in viewpoints, the manifesto statement was already made by the first bill the RP introduced. We think the best thing to do is to retract this bill. Irma Johnson LLP MP on Defence |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We would like to ask the Republican Party to stop wasting our time with proposals that have already been defeated and they even expect to achieve. Alexander Prince, MP SHP Party Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, There are a number of points here. It is an established convention that newer parties have some leeway with regards to proposes (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=416576) in order to raise their profile to the electorate. Pushing bills to vote remains the only means to do this. Secondly, the proposals outlined above are the second half of the Republican proposals that were subsequently adopted by the Labour Party and as such have not been voted on separately. As such Labour are incorrect to allude that this is nearly the same as the already rejected Bill. To the leaders of the PSP and SHP, I'm ever so sorry for making you work, we will try harder in future to reduce your workload. However, as the government doesn't feel the need to change much in the way of legislation then that puts the onus on the opposition parties to propose legislative changes. The Republican Party will continue to highlight our differences with the government and the best means to do this is to propose legislation. The citizens of this country need to know that there is an alternative out there and the Republicans will provide that alternative. Thomas McDonald Leader of the Republican Party. |
