MessageMr Speaker,

This proposal seeks to keep our current coalition together, while switching head of government to the Royalist Party as we are now the largest party in the coalition. In exchange we offer the Federalists the defense portfolio.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The New Liberals have requested to hold the ministry of foreign affairs in the past three coalition governments and have not received that cabinet position. It is unclear to us why when the Federalists hold the Presidency, why they should also hold the ministry of foreign affairs as both positions have the same power to offer treaty resolutions. We have a number of policy issues on which we campaigned about which we would like to create treaties - including extradition. Therefore, we would like Mr. Jack Hill to be considered for the position before we agree to continue to support the current coalition. If there is no way for the New Liberal Party to hold the role of minister of foreign affairs, we will still support the coalition as long as each member of the coalition commits to vote for 2 of the following 5 bills:

The GUNDOWN (Version III) Act: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=576292&vote=yes
The VACCINE TAX Act: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=576299&vote=yes
The BLAMERS Act: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=576295&vote=yes
The BEYONCE Act: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=575949&vote=yes
The REFUGEES Act: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=575948&vote=yes

Doing so will allow us to go back to our constituents and explain that, while we have campaigned extensively on being able to enact treaties, we have chosen not to pursue that avenue of policymaking due to the support of our coalition partners on the above issues.

I look forward to talking with my friends in the current coalition about these issues and hope that we can come to an agreement.

Lastly, I want to thank my friends in this coalition for their support of the resolution, "Honouring of the Member of Parliament for Sutton East and Leader of the New Liberal Party Russell Selwyn": http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=576312&vote=yes Russ has long been a friend of mine and it touches me greatly to see such support for him in this House. I hope it is not premature to congratulate the new Earl of Sutton on his new title!

Interim Leader of the New Liberals

OOC - I figure that if I can't have foreign affairs this term, this is not too much of an ask because most of the coalition has already agreed to support at least one of those bills. But I sincerely do want to have the ability to propose a few treaties that I've written, and USPH are willing to let me have foreign affairs.

MessageMr Speaker,

I do not believe that this is too much to ask, and hope that my coalition partners agree to vote in favour of at least 2 of the mentioned bills or allow the member from the New Liberals to become Minister of Foreign Affairs.
