| Message | We believe that it isn't the governments responsibility to cover abortions for unwanted pregnancies just as it is not our responsibility or right to tell a woman what she can do with her body. We believe that the only time that an abortion should be covered is in the event that it threatens the life of the mother. We are more in favor of putting that funding towards educating young women on the importance of safe sex and the consequences. This gives the woman the knowledge to make their own choices when it comes to their bodies and to also reduce unwanted pregnancies. We feel that if we continue to fund all abortions that it will just increase the amount of unwanted pregnancies and also in turn increase the amount of unprotected sex which will cause an increase in STDs due to young woman thinking that there is no dangers in having unprotected sex since the government will just pay for the abortion. |
