Also, a number of 599 makes sure we can have an easy headcount on voting. If the only reason for the proposed number would be having equal representation in each Province, we have to oppose. | Message | Mr Speaker, If this fails we could always go back to the old system whereby the 599 seats were distributed according to population. This led to a one region having one less seat that the other regions, which doesn't really represent major malapportionment. |
