Message | If you want anti-poverty, this is not the way to go. To get anti-poverty, one must scale back the government. When the government spends less, it doesn't need to take in as much taxes. People get more money in their pockets. Then cut back corporate taxes and get rid of income taxes. Corporations are able to hire more people, decreasing unemployment, and are able to pay them more money than they usually would. It is unrealistic to think they unemployment and poverty can be COMPLETELY eliminated this way, but it will take care of the vast majority of it. The way you propose, causes the need for the government to take more money from people and the corporations. Inflation occurs when the minimum wage continues to be raised, businesses have to fire people in order to make the minimum wage, the government hands out the Social Security benefits and unemployment, government must raise taxes for everyone in order to pay for it all and people just. get. poorer. Party of the people indeed... |

Message | Absolutely not. The Ministry of Finance will not release funding for any of this. All this will do is make people poorer and dependant on the state. Perhaps a definition of 'poverty' is in order. The state of being poor; lack of the means of providing material needs or comforts, Unproductiveness; infertility, the state of having little or no money and few or no material possessions. People that do not work are going to be poor. People that are fed, clothed, housed and at the mercy of the state are also going to be just as poor, because they're never going to strive for better. Also, to fund it, you're going to make other people poor, namely those on the verge of being poor to start with. The poorest full-time workers make 21k/yr. The average income is *47k/yr*. These bills with our nation in the economic state it is in is akin to slitting our throats. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
