Message | Matteo Monteverde, PDP Leader: "While I and my party agree with the AR on many issues I'm afraid this is not one of them. Time and time again privitizing the defence industry has lead to corruption and costly wars aimed at keeping the military-industrial complex wealthy and booming. We cannot consent to a policy of warmongering that will follow." |

Message | Cagliani Stefano, FM Leader: Privatization of defence is a suicide, we would effectively trade our safety in the hands of people, possibly even foreign companies, that care nothing but the profits they stand to make, plus why subsidise them if they are private companies? No defence must remain a national thing. |

Message | Omar Khan, ULD This is a great step in the right direction; the privatization of the defence industry will lead to the development of larger competitiveness, which will in return result in the development of better technologies; not only for the military to use. Many things that we use currently were created by army scientists, and giving the defence industries to company hands, no matter if foreign or national, will affect our technological advancement. Who knows, maybe this will lead to a scientist developing the cure for cancer? |
