Description[?]:
Members of the Presidium, The Lodamese arms industry is not one of the largest in the world, however we do not want the arms we produce to fall in the hands of terrorist groups or tyrannical governments. For this reason we want to limit the right of our arms industry in exporting weapons. The government must give an approval before arms are being sold. Article 1a. Arms may not be sold to nations or organizations if: 1. The government of the country doesn't allow for organizations, paramilitaries or groups to buy, own or use weapons; 2. The government of the country or organization is known for human right abuses; 3. Lodamun has an embargo against or is bound to a treaty which prohibs (arms) trade with such nation or organization; 4. The organization is one of terrorist nature according to Lodamese Law. 5. Any other reason in which the Cabinet deems arms trade inappropriate, against international law or Lodamese law. Article 2. If the cabinet wants to sell arms to a nation or organization but is prohibited article 1a, the Presidium must give approval in order for the sale to continue. For this there is a 2/3 majority necessary. Gorden Hawk, Minister of Defense |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Current policy on our military industry: The state owns national defence industries but these exist alongside privately owned defence industries. I think the government already decides on large parts what is sold and what not. So to obstruct those few private companies that are allowed to sell conventional weapons seems to me simply too restrictive. I rather here from our government what it considers conventional before we change this. John Miller Leader of NSLWP John Miller Leader of the National-Socialists. |
