The Allthing hereby establishes the Telamon Society for Medical and Pharmacological Research (TSMPR). The TSMPR is a government-funded but independent scientific research organization dedicated to foundational research in Medicine and Pharmacology. The TSMPR operates research institutes independent of but associated with (teaching) hospitals. Each TSMPR research institute is dedicated to a specific field constituting national focal points for research. While scientists working in a TRS research institute will teach at associated hospitals as well as advise MD and PhD students their primary focus is on research. The TSMPR publishes quarterly reports on TSMPR research. |

Message | OOC: Some. I'll post a list of institutes, as I did with the other two research societies. Additionally, I intend to have one of the pharmacological institutes develop a "non-addictive" alternative to a drug, that later turns out to be highly addictive (this is basically what happened with heroin, which was supposed to be a non-addictive alternative to morphine). And of course you're welcome to come up with your own stories. |
