MessageDear Speaker,

We oppose this as it violates the Lese Majeste Law, not to mention the oaths to the Empress we all undertook.

MessageDear Speaker,

We will likely abstain. We are unsure if this affects the empress as blasphemy is a religious offence. The lese majeste law protects the empress so we are unsure how they relate. If anything it would be treason insulting her and the consequences of that are higher than blasphemy so we don't see any correlation

Unless their is an explanation to persuade us we will abstain

Henry Sykes
Deputy Conservative party Leader

MessageDear Deputy Speaker,

The Empress is the head of the voluntary State Religion in the Empire, Sindo, and is a descendant of the Sun Kami herself. Blasphemy would include insulting that heritage so It is part of the Lese Majeste provision and is meant to protect the "Face" and Dignity of the Empress. The general punishment for blasphemy is typically a fine and request to apologize and cease insulting her Majesty. Second time offenders are exiled to another nation.

Signed,
Police Captain Moon Yin
