Bill: Incentive to Green Forms of Transportation and Tax Changes to Acomodate These Incentives

Details

Submitted by[?]: Partido Verde Sombrio

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4436

Description[?]:

"One of the main sources of air pollution is the usage of fossil fuel based vehicles. But why these vehicles are the cause of a so large amount of pollutant gases? Because they're useful and practical, so people use them a lot! So, to reduce the usage of cars, we need to "bribe" common people to use the alternatives, as public transportation or electric cars, for example.

Given the defeat of previous laws regarding this issue, we propose, on one hand, to increase incentives toward eco-friendly alternatives, and on other hand small changes on taxes to pay for these incentives (increase on consumption of luxury goods and a reduction on corporate tax to incentive economic growth and compensate this increase)."

MessageAfter a more careful examination of nation budget, we revised the proposed tax changes. Since there is already a big public surplus we reduced the proposed raise on luxury goods tax from 38% to 37%, and we increased the proposed reduction on corporate tax from 16% to 14%
