Description[?]:
Dear Citizens, The Empress is a descendant of the Sun Kami, and it is widely believed that our Empress is a Kami as well. In addition it is bad form to allow the disharmony so prevalent in other nations of insults of each others' religions. in Order to preserve the Imperial Harmony and peace of our Empire, it is imperative we reinstate the Blasphemy Law to protect the dignity and face of the citizens' religions. Punishment of course for Blasphemy will be a fine and need to apologize. Second time offense is exile. Signed, Sung Mi-Kim Imperial Senator from Wolgwangsudo and rumored member of Taeyanggyo |

Message | Dear Speaker, I think perhaps we can negotiate on nature of offense provision. Depending on the rank of the person being offended...a "nim(Sekowan equivalent Sama)" of Majesty(a Wieom or Heika) Level personage is to be highly respected and so stiffer penalties needed(A wieom level person is the Empress of course). A lower ranking person of "Sir"(San, or Chan level) not so stiff, this would include between peers or a low ranking secretary in an office. I think Exile should be used less frequently as a form of punishment. Signed, Kim Park Imperial Senator from Sinsudo |

Message | Dear Speaker, The Sunshine Party cannot accept any penalties which would have the effect of unfairly restricting free speech. |

Message | Dear Sunshine Party, Speech is never truly free as persons modify their speech according to whom they are addressing and the culture of the commuication. Unrestricted free speech is a cause of much disharmony in other nations(and many so-called free-speech nations restrict it via Hate Speech laws anyway). Unrestricted Free Speecg would not suit our culture well. Much commentary can still be conveyed without anarchy of unrestricted free speech in forms of private actions. Signed, Yoon Choong-Sik Minister of Culture |

Message | Dear Speaker, We are in no sense free speech anarchists. I did refer to "unfair" restriction. Where the speech causes or threatens to cause any harm to anyone, it should be penalised or restricted as such an action is fair. Criticism of religious institutions and doctrines does not do that so it should not be penalised in any way. No doubt many nations restrict speech unreasonably but that is hardly a reason to do the same Signed, Chin Hoi-chang Sunshine Leader |
