MessageAfter the open arms bill has finished, we believe we should go to the polls, so the people can voice their opinion on the recent wave of new bills. As you know, this will be the NEC's first real election and we feel it is important to see how voters react to our new policies.

MessageThe MLC has determined a policy which may stop this offer of elections on whim from getting out of hand , the MLC will only support NEC early election proposals every other term.

OOC: I just finished my exams and will be spending the next few weeks far too hungover to deal with too frequent a post election bill rush^^.

MessageWe only called this election to give the voters a chance to reflect on the NEC's new policies as it will be our first real election.

OOC - lucky you, i got another 2 weeks of exams :-(. What exams have you had?

MessageWhy do you have a problem with following the same rules as the rest of us? Elections happen. And they happen every thirty months. Stop calling for elections every time you get a wild hair up your ass.

Messagewell thats partly our fault for challenging him to do it that crown says im betting your kinda glad he did ^^ .

OOC: the game mechanics probably wont represent your new position well yet you should give it more time if thats really why you want the elections ,and as for my exams I had my first year computer science exams

MessageLooks like power has gone to the head of the UCLP.

I'm not really bothered if I dont do well, its just I have changed policies on some things and feel that should be take into account. Besides, wouldnt you all be glad if I did worse in elections? lol

MessageAs the UCPL has said there are rules for when an election takes place and it is simply not acceptable in a democratic society for a particular party to ignore the electoral process whenever they want to their own advantage.

MessageThere hasn't been enough time since the previous elections. Your change of policy isn't even fully clear to the people yet, NEC.

MessageShut up talking about I'm being undemocratic, how is asking for elections undemocratic? And I'm not forcing you to have them, I am simply putting the bill before parliament.

Messagewell true in the constraints of this game , but youve got to consider what the uproar in the real world would be if a major party but in early election bills twice in consecutive terms.

MessageI wasnt talking to you MLC, I respect your reasoning. I was talking to the DSE who claimed we were undemocratic for calling democratic elections.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.

Random quote: "It makes no difference, in principle, if this 'collective will' is divined by the edicts of a dictator or by majority vote, so long as the rights of the individual may still be sacrificed." - Robert Garmong
