Bill: A Resolution to Impose Unilateral Sanctions Against Aloria

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Liberal Party of Hutori

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4438

Description[?]:

The nation of Aloria has passed a bill to allow slavery as a form of criminal punishment. http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=578332

Hutori will never stand for slavery. Should this bill pass, the following will go into immediate effect:

Section 1: Parliament will instruct the Foreign Secretary to institute a 1000 Percent tariff on all Alorian goods.
Section 2: Parliament will instruct the Foreign Secretary to seize all Alorian assets in Hutori.
Section 3: Parliament will instruct the President and Foreign Secretary to expel all Alorian diplomats.
Section 4: Parliament will instruct the Foreign Secretary to create an international treaty expanding sanctions and asking all nations to join the treaty.
Section 5: Parliament will instruct the Hutori Ambassador to NOCTO to request all member states to examine Alorian slavery and consider military options.

As the election happened before the required votes were needed to pass pre-emptive sanctions, this bill is necessary to impose sanctions on Aloria.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Scourge of Slavery is likely to arise in Aloria. Hutori and all liberal democracies cannot allow this practice. Therefore, we are asking Parliament to pre-emptively agree to sanctions should the Alorians pass their pro-slavery resolution. Therefore, should slavery become legal, Hutori need not wait to institute sanctions.
