MessageMr. Speaker,

I have enjoyed this Chancellorship and would like to continue doing that job. However, it is the policy of my party to try to work with the largest vote-getting party in a single caucus before assessing other options. The New Liberals have reached out to the Liberal Nationalists. We will wait to hear back from them before deciding on this very attractive proposal.

MessageMr Speaker,

Might I remind the honourable Chancellor that the Royalist Party is the largest party in this house and did recieve the most votes. However, the Royalist Party has always been willing to work with the Liberal Nationalists, but we did not include them in this proposal as we believed the New Liberals would not be willing. This is great news from the Chancellor, and we would be thrilled to be a part of a coalition with his party and the Liberal Nationalists.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I hope I have not been unclear, our policy is not to reach out to the largest party - that is clearly the Royalists. Our policy is to reach out to the largest party CAUCUS. For most parties, the caucus and the party are one in the same. Clearly the Royalists are the exception being a party that has two caucuses - progressive and conservative.

I am still awaiting a response from the Liberal Nationalists and will update this house based upon their response.

The Liberal Nationals would support entering a cabinet alongside the New Liberals and the Royalists.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We have decided it is in the best interests of the nation for the New Liberals to accept this proposal. It unites the moderate parties into a stable government while leaving the parties on the extreme left and right to the opposition.

I personally look forward to working with you all.

Chancellor
