| Due to the high costs of maintaining the unintended consequences of ill use of fireworks, such as starting a fire or injury to oneself, all non-professional fireworks should be banned. Any damage done by the private use of fireworks shall be paid by the owner of the fireworks on top of a fine depending on the severity of the offense. Fireworks should be treated with as much caution as a gun or explosive. City run fireworks will be allowed for the enjoyment of all. |

| Message | A pistol can do a lot more harm to another citizen than a sparkler can do. They should not be treated the same. The current policy allows for celebration with the reasonable amount of fireworks. This bill plans to restrict the citizens' ability to use harmless small fireworks: a completely useless measure. |
