Message | Mr. Speaker With the greatest of respect to the Leader of the Consumer Party, we would prefer the Minister of Finance bring forward a nomination for the Hutorian Central Reserve Bank; he would be the best choice as he has to work directly with the head of the bank. Message | Mr. Speaker, I an sorry to inform the minister of finance that he has no legal power in the matter. The entire purpose of the bill was to separate the central bank from the ministry of finance. If a non-member of the ministry of finance would like to run for the position they may do so. Parliament will then vote by putting each candidate on a bill and the one with the highest approval shall become head of the central bank in 4440. Unless the chancellor would like to propose reform to his bill the way it is currently understood I am fully able to run because I am not a member of the ministry of finance. I understand that you are new to the job as minister, but your party has been around in some form far longer than mine so you really should understand the legal precedent in this state. Message | Mr Speaker, Firstly, a point of order, the member opposite is supposed to direct his comments through you not directly to me. With that aside, I know it is fully within the rights off all parties to suggest someone that they feel should take the position. However, I feel that the Ministry of Finance, not just myself but the ministry as a whole, should have some say. I am currently discussing a few possible candidates with my deputy minister, and will come back to the house with the candidate we feel will be the best choice to be the new Head of the Central Bank. One last question for the member opposite, will he be willing to resign as MP if he is chosen by this house to become the new head of the Central Bank? Because that would be a conflict of interest if he did not. Dylan Jourdain MP for Fairview Prosperity Minister of Finance Deputy Leader of the Royalist Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I plan to resign as MP if I am elected instead of someone with NO CONNECTION to the ministry of finance. If the ministry of finance were to even suggest a candidate it would be a horribly corrupt practice that is a massive conflict of interest in direct contradiction to the law. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I move for a vote on the candidacy of the Member for Glentingham for Head of the Central Bank. As we have two candidates, I suggest both receive a vote from Parliament. Jack Hill Chancellor |

Message | Mr Speaker, As I have pointed out before, the incompetence of the Consumers Party is exactly why they sit on the opposition benches. They don't even understand what a conflict of interest is. Our nominee has no link to any political party or government department. Instead of handing a position to someone in our caucus, we searched Hutori high and low and found candidates who are actually qualified for the job, and Mr. Bannerman was the one we felt was most qualified. What has the member from Glentingham ever done that qualifies him for this position? Dylan Jourdain MP for Fairview Prosperity Minister of Finance Deputy Leader of the Royalist Party |
