Title: Article 17 Bomb Kills Chancellor

Chancellor Jack Hill was murdered today by an explosion when he entered his car on route to a visit a private elementary school.
One of the Chancellor’s staff members, Randy DiMicco, 24, and John Maxwell, 26, also died in the explosion. The Chancellor’s former military attaché and current chief of staff, Jim O’Neill, is still in critical condition at the Hosian Central Hospital in Bekennial.
The attack was followed only minutes later by an explosion at the St. Regis Primary School, the school which Hill was supposed to visit. School administrators had already evacuated the school on suspicion of an attack following the murder of the Chancellor. There were no casualties.
The revolutionary Anarcho-socialist terrorist group Article 17 has claimed responsibility for the attack. A statement from the organisation said: "This operation is one of the few ways we can bring forth the Socialist cause and end the Monarchist occupation of our lands. Let this be a warning to all who support the false King - We will bring the monarchy to its knees."
Hill, aged 44, was the first-ever New Liberal Party Chancellor and a strong supporter of the Monarchy. During the Doyle affair, Hill was an ardent supporter of future President Peter Knox and the Royalist-New Liberal Coalition. It is possible his Monarchist sympathies were the main reason Article 17 targeted him. He was entering his car with staff to visit the primary school when the bomb detonated around 1030 HST. A witness said the blast blew the car “to kingdom come” and threw all four occupants from the car onto the road. Passersby rushed to the Chancellor’s assistance, but it was too late. Hill’s legs and lower torso were severed by the explosion. He died shortly thereafter.
Hill is survived by his wife of 17 years, Elizabeth and their 9-year-old daughter Sarah.
